Using Towers and Bunting (PDF)
Find out how to construct and deconstruct imaginary worlds using cardboard towers and bunting
How many times have you seen children have more fun with a cardboard box than with ‘the-whatever- it-was’ inside? Cardboard boxes are amazing! They offer children an opportunity to be in control of their space. As they explore this secure container with every one of their senses, they start to make critical connections between containment and security, imagination and real life, making marks or symbols and being understood.
This highly creative pack encourages the practitioner to scaffold children’s interests by helping them make big constructions that open up a world of possibilities for the imagination and for learning. It opens up a myriad of opportunities for deeper level thinking and discussion across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), as well as giving you an insight into your children’s big dreams.
