Sophie specialises in large, collaborative group works working in recycled materials, fabric, paper or using willow and found objects. She often uses digital media to produce animated films about projects.  Her approach is direct, playful and inclusive. Each workshop she runs is tailor made to the needs of the group. Sessions can be simple ‘make and take’ workshops or long term residencies.

Sophie is particularly interested in creating temporary collaborative pieces which lend themselves to working with very young children and their parents and grandparents. Sophie will be exploring how early years educators can let the children lead in building amazing worlds of wonder.

Hosted by Earlyarts Director, Ruth Churchill Dower, this highly stimulating session is suitable for teachers, early years practitioners and professionals, nursery managers, local authority officers, home educators, parents and carers
